* COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND KNOWLEDGE BASED SYSTEMS: Making
difficult decisions - information profiling, integration and
complex queries applied to orthopaedic surgery.
* GRAPHICS AND IMAGE PROCESSING: Automatic generation of free-form
deformation nets for sculpting and animating NURBS-based objects.
* KNOWLEDGE BASED SYSTEMS: Distributed problem solving for dynamic
environments.
* COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE: Markov random field models for
multivariate EDAs.
* INFORMATION RETRIEVAL AND INTERACTION: Language modelling for
information bridging.
* INFORMATION RETRIEVAL AND INTERACTION: Query generation and
disambiguation for within-do*****ent retrieval.

You will be required to register for the research degree of MPhil/PhD.
You should have a first or upper second class honours degree (or
equivalent) in computer science or a degree with significant computing content.
