I can't lie - I use IE, I was gonna switch to firefox but I simply haven't had the time & motivation to install it also I quite like having a google toolbar with the highlight words feature. _________________

To be honest, internet explorer is pretty good. It's easy to use and works with all webpages... (firefox has trouble with a few, mainly weird menus systems). However IE is getting long in the tooth so I thought I'd try a new one.
I'll still keep a few browsers intalled and updated to latest versions. However, can't see myself moving away from firefox anytime soon.
Then again maybe IE7 will blow my socks off, and Bill will be my King.
As for plugins and extensions for firefox i'd be interested to hear what people use too. I don't have much knowledge in that area. All I have is a fresh install with the flash plugin installed.

Not all, it's easy to make a w3c complient webpage which doesn't look quite right in IE. But then I'm using IE right now.... but only cos Firefox has issues with this site for some reason...
as for plugins, i recently reinstalled Firefox to see if it was anything to do with said problem, at the moment the only extentions I have installed are:
slashzilla - provides a sidebar with all the latest slasdot headlines, which is quite useful
and
deepest sender - a live journal client, i don't really use livejournal, just downloaded the extention to see what it was like...
Ah, how nice to see a forum with people who've at least thought about other browsers, even if they are still using IE. I'm a Firefox man too - I have Slashzilla and Flash, although I did get rid of the extensions Adobe Reader dumps on Mozilla derivatives because Reader is the most bloated, crappy piece of software ever.
Yay, firefox rocks! Have you noticed when you log into hotmail they try to get you to update your browsers, why are they doing this? I’m sure there are new features that will only work on IE.
I cant stand the new IE, it seems like all of the options are hidden from the user, Firefox seems to be ahead of their game.
What ever happened to poor old Netscape, you know it used to be the most advanced as far as developing languages went, its just a shame it took so long to load up. _________________ Edinburgh Tutors Edinburgh Guitar Tutor
