Hello all,

Heres a small list of programs designed to test your computers stability Overclocked or not Wink

Memtest 86+:
Great little piece of software, put it on a floppy, boot off it and it checks your RAM for errors. Give it a try! -Freeware-

Prime95
Stresses your system to the MAX trying to find Mersenne primes. If a component is flaky the test will fail. Great for testing stability. -Freeware-

Hope you find them useful. If you would like to suggest other useful hardware stressing programs, post them and I will add them to the sticky later.[/url]

Is there a memtest that doesn't require booting off a floppy... cause, erm, I have no floppy drive and wouldn't mind giving it a try. Or at least something similar you know of?

Ran the Prime95 Torture Test yesterday for an hour and I'm happy to say that all was ok, and using VIA HM my (ageing) processor never hit above 65C with all the fans on Smile

Glad to hear that mate, however note that you need to run it for 27 minutes or so MINIMUM. I had a pair of 1GB OCZ platinum PC3200 fail on me after a couple of hours of memtest... Sad
